Wow - how fantastic are these totally amazing rugs that will take your breath away with their colour and detail - perfect for either the floor, wall or sofa. Completely hand embroidered by village men using traditional pattern making and techniques. The embroidery uses locally dyed wool utilising natural colour fast dyes wherever possible.

They are produced by small producer cooperatives in Kashmir, India for Kashmiri based Zaida. Maria and Isaq of Zaida work directly with the village producers and are totally commited to the principles of fair trade. Utilising the traditional skills of Isaq's homeland they have fused 15th Century craftwork with modern designs inspired by modern masters such as Klimt, Kandinsky and Miro.

Backed with a strong cotton these products can be washed as you would wool in cold water and dried flat in the shade.
