A quirky pair of spiralled silver stud earrings from Cambodian artisans.
The artists making this jewellery work with a non profit local NGO in Phnom Penh that works to generate income and provide skills training. They make other jewellery from brass bomb casings. The bomb casings are a legacy of the intense cross border bombing carried out during the Vietnam War. The bomb casings are provided by the Halo Trust (a British based organisation that specialises n the removal of the hazardous debris of war) who have been working in Cambodia for many years. They are also found by fishermen fishing in the Mekong River.
