A beautiful handknotted rug from Kumbeshwar Technical School in Nepal.

All the carpets woven at Kumbeshwar are made from Tibetan sheeps wool. The cleaned wool comes to Kumbeshwar where it is spun, dyed and woven all under the one roof. The women who work in the weaving workshop can bring their children to work with them. Older children attend the school free of charge and the younger children are cared for in an adjoining childcare room by qualified staff.
